A Day at the Park

Family Night

We try to do Family Night each week...usually on Tuesday. Family night means no phone calls, no TV, and no computers. We take turns picking what we want to do for the night. Tonight was Camden's turn to pick and he wanted to have a nerf gun war. So, we all grabbed a nerf gun (yes, we have plenty for everyone to play...sad, I know) and the war began. I think I'll be finding darts everywhere for the next month. Another highlight the evening was making smores. Memaw Sellers sent us a Microwave Smore Maker. One word....YUM!

While I was growing up, I loved children. I used to wonder what it would be like to have my own family. I couldn't wait for that to happen. When pregnancy didn't come easy for us, I was devastated. I look back now through years of infertility and uncertainity and see that God needed me to wait and be still and know that HE IS GOD. It was then that He blessed me and blessed me again and blessed me yet a third time with the desires of my heart.

It seems like only yesterday I was trying to calm Matt down as he drove frantically to get to the hospital after my water had broken on 8/8/08. Shortly after 5 in the morning, we saw the fingerprints of God displayed beautifully on our baby girl. We were in awe of ALL that God has given us. These blessings that He has put into our care to nurture and love. I pray that our children can see God evidenced in our love for them and to them throughout their sweet, precious lives.
