A New House!

We had a special delivery on Sunday afternoon....a new house!!  I know, it's not what you were thinking, but isn't it neat?!?  We've decided to keep in tact until Christmas day; however, it wouldn't surprise me if some pieces were missing before then....the chimney (KitKat) will probably be first to go.   We've been so blessed by people in our lives.  God has been so good to always bring the right people into our paths at the right time to encourage us.

Piano Recital

Payton and Maylee Grace had their first piano recital.  They both did well!  We love Miss Louise their piano teacher so very much!  (Excuse the background of the pictures, the church is decorated for their Christmas play.)

Swim meet

We have another swim meet under our.....uh....wait they're not wearing belts.  The boys did GREAT at this swim meet. They have both improved immensely.  Payton being the youngest boy swimmer still came away with several 2nd place finishes in his races.  Camden got first place in the 100 meter freestyle even after stopping twice to adjust his goggles that fell off when he went into the water at the beginning of the race!  I am so proud of these two.  It's so fun to watch them excel and love what they're doing.

Mini-Matt

Someone pointed out to me this Sunday at church that Payton looked a lot like Matt (as in more than usual).  We had some fun with it and Payton tried his hand at preaching.

A day in the life....

Maylee Grace:  5 going on 15!  Yikes.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
We have so much to be thankful for!  We are happy, healthy and adding to our family (yay...not via MY body...thankful for that!)

Funny story behind this picture...the boys had all gone outside to play.  Finally, the girls had the play room all to themselves and they could "play with the cars they way they wanted to."

S'Mores!!

Matt brought out the fire pit and we enjoyed some S'mores with our family night!  It was so nice and cozy next to the fire.  We ventured out and used Reese's peanut butter cups as our source of chocolate.  One word....YUM.

Halloween

We had talked with the kids this year about whether or not they wanted to dress up and go the carnival at church or if they'd rather make it a family night.  We decided on a family night where we went to the movie theater to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 and ate dinner at Applebee's (gift card + free kid's meals=SCORE!).  The day before my friend invited us to a Trunk or Treat at their church.  I let the littles dress up and we went to do that while Matt and Camden were at youth group.  It worked out great!  The littles got to dress up and get candy and we still had a family night!!

Free "scary face" pancakes at I-Hop (Camden had breakfast with Matt and a buddy from the gym)

We had the movie theater all to ourselves.  The kids sat in front of us and we pretended like we were on a date.  :)

We met up with the Proctors to get our annual Halloween picture of Camden and Abigail.  We have one every year since they were 1 and 2 years old!  (Secretly, Mika and I are hoping it pays off big time for a wedding video some day!)

Swim Meet

Camden and Payton have been a part of the home school swim team this year.  They had their first swim meet last week and did quite well.  Afterwards they both told me how excited they were to swim and that they wanted to continue.  It is such a fun way for them to get exercise and we're blessed that it is right around the corner from our house.
They both participated in several heats.  Every time a new race was called they would pop up and go try.  At one point, Payton says, "I think I'll just go so try that stroke so I can win another ribbon." We were super proud of both of them.

I was able to get a video of Payton swimming the free style.  He was racing against two almost 10 year olds!  He did great!

Nerf WAR!

Payton decided to summon all the soldiers for battle for his 7th birthday.  We had boys running around all over this park with their NERF guns.  They had a great time.
This was just before they all charged AT ME shooting their guns.
