New Year's Celebration

Mimi and Papa joined up for New Year's Eve and Day.

Matt and I escaped for a few hours and got to go on a date to the Lobos Basketball game.
18+ years of dates with this handsome fellow.
We did our usual (early) countdown with the kids and had our chocolate milk toast!  After we tucked the kids in bed after 10pm, we old folks tried our hardest to stay awake to see midnight.  We played a few mean games of Dutch Blitz.  The women totally dominated.

 YAY!

 Life of the party
We woke up to a little bit of snow on New Year's Day.  Payton was trying out his RC car in the snow.  The bikes and scooters in the snow followed...because boys will be boys.
Mimi and Papa treated the family to a fun night at Itz.  The kids had lots of fun riding rides and playing games.
EZ was super serious about his horseback riding.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Christmas is fun. What more can I say?  Having children and celebrating all the exciting things that Christmas is about is just fun.  We have loved watching our kids eyes light up and see them smile as we celebrate Christmas.  Most of all, they relish in what Christmas is all about:  JESUS.

Christmas Eve morning begins with a fun breakfast, hot chocolate and new mugs for each of the kids.  (Of course, Daddy and Aunt Rachel got a new one too.)  Then, we celebrated with our dear friends, Phil and Yvonne, having dinner and games.  What a fun night!

Christmas morning was full of excitement.  We woke up to all sorts of goodies in the living room and full stockings.  Then, we went to church with Aunt Rachel to celebrate the birth of our Savior!

Yep....we have a few crazies on our hands.

Party Time!

Christmas time brings lots of parties.

The kids were part of the Paragon Kidz Christmas party at church.

We also had Ugly Christmas Sweater weekend at church.

Abrazos Family Support is the organization that provides therapy and evaluations for Endale.  They put on a Christmas dinner and party for all their kids and their families.
We also attended a Breakfast with Santa Christmas party with the Rio Grande Down Syndrome Network.  The room was filled with smiles.  It was a such a fun morning.

Then, we had our Paragon "staff" party with Gerome and Bianca.   Even though our staff is small, we have a planned dinner and movie night each Christmas.  We love these two and they are a special part of our family and church.
